John Espinosa, a Los-Angeles based artist creates sculptures and installations of animals with symbolic representations of electricity.
Some of Espinosa’s most recent work includes these sculptures of deer, rabbits and birds. Espinosa’s artist statement that accompanied these sculptures was, “But his soul was mad. Being alone in the wilderness, it had looked within itself and, by heavens I tell you, it had gone mad.” These sculptures portray animals connected through an electric structure, as if they are communicating or interacting through it.
